Le Méridien Nouméa Resort & Spa is a luxury resort hotel on Pointe Magnin, nestled between Ouen Toro and the beach at Anse Vata. It is an upscale place to stay if you’re looking for a relaxing holiday by the beach with easy access to central Noumea.
The 209 air-conditioned guest rooms all have comfortable beds, a 107cm (42″) flatscreen television, floor-to-ceiling windows, a work desk, ironing facilities, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathroom facilities with a separate bathtub and shower. Many of the rooms have balconies with either garden, swimming pool or sea views.
Rooms are spacious and start with the 42m² classic king and twin rooms and the suites are even more spacious, ranging from 84m² to 210m², and offering separate living and sleeping areas.
Internet access is free of charge throughout the hotel.
Le Méridien is a resort hotel with extensive leisure facilities including a large swimming pool and a 24-hour fitness centre. Spa treatments are offered at the on-site Deep Nature Spa.
The hotel also offers extensive dining options. These include Le Sextant, which is noted for its Friday and Saturday-night seafood buffet, the beachfront Le Faré bar which offers a casual dining experience plus Latitude 22° cafe bar, which is a nice spot for a drink on the terrace with garden and sea views.
The hotel is located at Pointe Magnin, between Ouen Toro and the beach at Anse Vata right at the southern tip of Nouméa. Although it is far from the most centrally-located hotel in town, its location is ideal if you’ve come to Nouméa for a relaxing beach holiday. It is a quieter location than most other hotels in Nouméa and it is next to one of the city’s best beaches with easy access to the reef if you enjoy snorkelling.
Although there is not a great deal to see and do in the immediate vicinity (other than a small casino and the bars and restaurants at the neighbouring Château Royal hotel), the location at the foot of Ouen Toro means that it is less than a 20-minute walk to the summit of Ouen Toro and the main cluster of hotels on Anse Vata beach are also only a 15-minute walk from here.
If you want to travel farther afield in Nouméa, it is only around a 3–4-minute walk to a local bus stop where bus route L3 will take you past Baie des Citrons and into the city centre.
