Casa del Sole Apartments is a modern apartment hotel with a brilliant location near the beach at Baie des Citrons.
The hotel is a 16-storey building with 127 one- or two-bedroom self-contained apartments. All apartments are air-conditioned with separate sleeping and living areas. They all have comfortable beds (two-bedroom apartments have a queen-size bed in one bedroom and two singles in the other) plus a living area with a sofa, a flatscreen TV and a dining table, a large balcony and a fully-equipped kitchen with a fridge, oven, stove, microwave, cooking utensils and tea and coffee making facilities. The apartments have their own washing machine so you can do your own laundry and some of them even have Japanese-style toilets.
There are also apartments with shared rooms, which are ideal for groups. The sleeping areas in these apartments are set up a little bit like a hostel but with single beds instead of bunk beds. Note, the beds can’t be booked individually like a hostel so you’ll need to book the entire apartment.
The apartments are very spacious. One-bedroom apartments are 62m² (667 sq ft) plus a 20m² (215sq ft) balcony and two-bedroom apartments are 90m² (969 sq ft) with a 30.5m² (328 sq ft) balcony.
Internet access is available but it comes at an additional cost of 1,050F for 24 hours or 2,100F for one week.
The self-contained apartments mean that you can make yourself at home and you can also save money by preparing your own meals and doing your own laundry and this makes it a great option for families. It is also a great spot to stay if you’re relocating to Nouméa and need a base while sorting yourself out.

Casa del Sole has a swimming pool and there is a small convenience store/cafe on the ground floor. However, the excellent location near the cafes, bars and restaurants of Baie des Citrons means that you have plenty of options on your doorstep for eating out.
The location is very convenient as Baie des Citrons is one of Nouméa’s most popular areas for restaurants and nightlife; however, this also means that guests staying in the rooms facing Baie des Citrons can experience some noise, particularly for guests staying on the lower floors on a Friday or Saturday night. If you feel that this may be an issue for you, you may want to request a room on a higher floor or a room on the Anse Vata side of the building.
It is also convenient to other attractions in Nouméa. It is only a one-minute walk to the aquarium or the beach at Baie des Citrons and only a 3–4-minute walk to Anse Vata beach. It’s only a one-minute walk to the closest bus stop and from here you can get into the city centre in around 10 minutes.
