Nouvata is a large resort complex near Anse Vata beach with over 300 rooms in three separate buildings. It is one of the best value places to stay in Nouméa.
It is a large complex with over 345 air-conditioned rooms, which all have comfortable beds, a work desk, a flat screen television, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathrooms. Rooms in the main hotel complex also have ironing facilities and a kitchenette with a fridge and microwave.
The 12m²–15m² budget and budget+ rooms are in an annexe around a five-minute walk from the main hotel complex. Rooms in the main hotel complex start with the 25m² basic, standard and standard+ rooms and also include the larger 32m2 comfort and comfort+ rooms and the even larger 48m² premium and premium+ rooms.
Compared with more expensive hotels nearby, the decor inside the rooms can feel a little dated; however, it is well maintained and the hotel has extensive facilities.
Resort facilities include a swimming pool surrounded by tropical gardens as well as L’Équilibre, the hotel restaurant, and the Code Bar, which serves drinks and light snacks. Both the restaurant and bar offer alfresco dining and a seafood buffet is served every Friday evening and there is a themed buffet on Saturday nights. The all-you-can eat buffets range from 2,900F–4,900F.
Other amenities include a hairdresser, a beauty and massage centre and pharmacy as well extensive conference facilities.
Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the hotel but it is limited with only 60 minutes of access available in public areas and an additional charge for faster Wi-Fi in your room.
The hotel is right across the road from Anse Vata beach and there are several places nearby to eat and drink including a boulangerie, patisserie and places for pizza and steak. However, the location can be quite touristy and it is not as convenient as other hotels in Nouméa so you may find yourself hopping on a bus to get to Baie des Citrons or the city centre for a better selection of dining options.
