The Ramada Hotel & Suites Noumea is a modern three-star hotel complex close to the racecourse and Anse Vata beach.
The hotel has 125 air-conditioned rooms over 17 levels. All rooms have comfortable beds, a work desk, a flatscreen television, a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, ironing facilities and an en suite bathroom. Classic rooms start at just 17m², although studios, suites and apartments are considerably larger, ranging from 35m² to 94m².
Restaurant au l’Entrecôte is the hotel’s revolving restaurant. It specialises in steak and offers 360º views of the racecourse, the lagoon and the city. There is also a sports bar near the swimming pool. The hotel also has its own fitness centre as well as business facilities.
Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel. However, this is limited to only 250MB per day and you have to pay extra to extend this to 10GB per day.
The Ramada is not as good as Nouméa’s other international chain hotels and the standard of accommodation is much higher if you stay at the nearby Hilton and Le Méridien hotels. However, this is usually a more affordable accommodation option.
The hotel is near the cluster of hotels in Anse Vata, although it is farther from the beach than most of the other hotels and many of the rooms have views of the racecourse as opposed to sea views.
Although it is not the best-located hotel, there are plenty of places to eat and drink within a 10-minute walk and Anse Vata beach is within easy walking distance from the hotel. It is also served by two bus routes, making it reasonably easy to get into the city centre.
