Gondwana City Green is a modern budget hotel in the Latin Quarter, just a short walk south of the city centre. It is a good option if you’re travelling to Nouméa on business or if you’re visiting Nouméa to see the city rather than relax by the beach.
The hotel has 56 air-conditioned guest rooms, which all have comfortable beds, a flatscreen television with Canal Sat channels, a small work desk, a fridge and an en suite bathroom. Although the rooms don’t have tea and coffee making facilities, there is an area on each floor where you have tea and coffee making facilities as well as filtered water dispensers.
As it is a small budget hotel, there is not a lot in the way of public areas; however, there is a communal outdoor area where breakfast (990F–2,200F) is served between 6.30am and 10am every day.
Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.
Gondwana City Green has a number of eco-friendly initiatives in place, including the use of solar panels and water-saving systems and it is a good accommodation option if you’re looking to minimise your environmental footprint.
Parking is available but it costs an additional 1000F per night. Free charging is available for electric cars.
The hotel is in the Quartier Latin (the Latin Quarter), a neighbourhood just south of the city centre that is a convenient base if you prefer to explore the city rather than relax by the beach. It’s only a five-minute walk to the city market and Port Moselle Harbour and a 10-minute walk from Place des Cocotiers. Place Moselle bus interchange, which is served by all local bus routes, is only a seven-minute walk from the hotel.
