Hôtel Beaurivage offers a good value accommodation option with an excellent location across from the beach at Baie des Citrons.
The air-conditioned guest rooms all have comfortable beds, a work desk, a flat screen television, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom. Rooms are reasonably spacious for a budget hotel and range from 18m²–35m². Although the rooms are not to the same standard as some of Noumea’s newer hotels, they are clean and well maintained considering the reasonable price.
Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available in all the rooms.
The hotel’s Le Babar Café is a good spot for breakfast, coffee or a light meal. The restaurant has a quirky decor with lots of knick-knacks, which is a refreshing departure from the bland look and feel of many hotel restaurants. If the restaurant isn’t to your liking, then there is a huge choice of other options less than a five-minute walk away.
Apart from the reasonable price point, the main feature of Hôtel Beaurivage is the excellent location right across the road from the beach at Baie des Citrons. It is at the northern end of Baie des Citrons and it is only a five-minute walk to the central part of Baie des Citrons where you’ll find lots of bars, cafes and restaurants. However, the drawback of being so close to the action in Baie des Citrons, is that it can get noisy, particularly if you’re staying on a Friday or Saturday night. A 10-minute walk in the other direction takes you to a shopping centre at Port Plaisance marina where you can find a range of shops including a supermarket.
