Formerly a Best Western hotel, Hôtel Le Paris is now an independently operated hotel with a convenient location in the city centre with easy access to transport to other parts of Noumea.

The hotel has 48 air-conditioned guest rooms, which all have comfortable beds, a work desk, a flatscreen television, a small fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, ironing facilities and en suite bathroom facilities.

It is an established hotel that may appear a little dated in comparison to newer hotels; however, it is clean and well maintained.

The hotel doesn’t have a lot of other amenities outside the rooms, although there is a restaurant that is open for breakfast. However, this isn’t an issue as the city centre location means that there are plenty of other places to eat and drink on your doorstep.

Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.

The hotel’s big advantage is its central location. It is only a three-minute walk to Place des Cocotiers and it is no more than a 10–15-minute walk to most other points of interest in the city centre. This location is perfect if you’re travelling on business or visiting Noumea because you want to immerse yourself in the local culture and practise your French but it isn’t so good if you’ve come to Noumea for a relaxing beach holiday, in which case you would be better off staying closer to Anse Vata or Baie des Citrons.
