Hilton Nouméa La Promenade Residences is an upmarket hotel across the road from Anse Vata beach. It is noted for its spacious rooms and large balconies with lagoon views.
The hotel consists of 120 self-contained air-conditioned apartments over nine floors. All the apartments have comfortable king-size beds, a flatscreen television, ironing facilities, a small kitchen with fridge, microwave, cooking utensils and tea and coffee making facilities, a dining table and an en suite bathroom. The larger one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments are even better equipped with work desks, additional TVs and more furnishings.
Rooms here are massive. The smallest room is the 41m² (441 sq ft) king studio and families and larger groups will enjoy the additional space offered by the 65m² (700 sq ft) one-bedroom apartments, the 95m² (1023 sq ft) two-bedroom apartments and the 110m² (1184 sq ft) three-bedroom apartments.
The hotel is noted for its large balconies, all with ocean views. The balcony in my king studio was massive, even larger than a lot of hotel rooms that I have stayed in.
Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available in your room and throughout the hotel; however, it comes at an additional charge.
The poolside La Terrace restaurant serves French-influenced cuisine with outdoor seating offering garden and lagoon views.
Other facilities at the hotel include a large swimming pool, a fitness centre and business centre.
The hotel is right across the road from Anse Vata beach and there are several places nearby to eat and drink including a boulangerie, patisserie and places for pizza and steak. However, the location can be quite touristy and it is not as convenient as other hotels in Nouméa so you may find yourself hopping on a bus to get to Baie des Citrons or the city centre for a better selection of dining options.
